I grew up in New Jersey (unfortunately I still have the accent), went to college and played football at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, and while in college developed a passion for human performance.

I have been involved in the iron game for 38 years, starting as a body builder who competed at the state level, moving to a strength athlete, then Olympic Style lifting and finally the fit pit.

They say that when your music tastes grow up you acquire an appreciation for Jazz. Well as my strength tastes have grown up I have gotten an appreciation for the style of training that we do at the fit pit. My mentor, Michael Rutherford, helped guide me through all the strength phases of my life (except for the body building). Its because of Rut that I became as knowledgeable as I am.
His guidance, patience, and caring I keep with me when I coach so that I can inspire others to love this as much as I do.

Our training consists of constantly varied functional exercises performed under high intensity. Each workout is personally supervised to provide maximum benefit. Its like nothing you have ever experienced. Give us a dedicated 8 weeks and your changes will be drastic. Everyone will want to know what you are doing.

This is not your typical bench press and preacher curl gym. We use the most fantastic machine ever created - our own body. It is a positive, welcoming, non judgemental environment that will allow us to help you achieve maximum results in a minimum amount of time.
